SEU 800 Social Media Netiquette 

The SEU 800’s digital platforms are spaces for discussion and dialogue, where we encourage conversations about the rights and working conditions of our members. To ensure a respectful and constructive environment, we have established the following guidelines. 

Respect and Courtesy 

We promote respectful and courteous discussions. All comments must be made in a spirit of constructive dialogue. 

The following are strictly prohibited and will be removed without notice: 

  • Defamatory, abusive, hateful, racist, xenophobic, homophobic, sexist, or discriminatory comments 
  • Messages inciting violence, hatred, or discrimination 
  • Personal attacks, harassment, or threats against an individual or group
  • Obscene or vulgar language 

Relevance of Discussions

We encourage discussions that are relevant to the topics covered on our platforms.

The following types of content may be removed: 

  • Off-topic or repetitive messages (spam)
  • Solicitations, advertisements, or promotions of products/services
  • Content containing false information or misinformation

Privacy Protection 

We encourage users not to share personal information in comments. If a discussion requires confidential information, please contact us via private message or email at communications@ues800.org

The following will be removed immediately

  • Any message containing personal information (address, phone number, email, file number, etc.) 
  • Content that shares sensitive or confidential data 

Comment Moderation and Monitoring 

The SEU 800 team actively moderates discussions and comments from Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All comments are read and taken into consideration, but we cannot guarantee a response to each one. 
We reserve the right to hide or delete any content that does not comply with this netiquette. 

Posting Images and Links 

If you post an image or video, make sure you have obtained the consent of the individuals featured. 

Any link leading to an inappropriate, misleading, or defamatory site that could harm SEU 800’s reputation will be deleted. 

Hyperlinks to reliable and relevant sources of information are accepted. 

Use of Capital Letters and Clear Language 

Excessive use of capital letters is often perceived as shouting or aggression. We encourage users to write in clear, understandable lowercase text. 

Handling Complaints 

Complaints or official requests should not be submitted via social media. Please direct them to the appropriate department at communications@ues800.org

Liability and Netiquette Updates 

By interacting on our platforms, you agree that SEU 800 may use or republish your comments without additional authorization. 

We reserve the right to modify this netiquette without prior notice. 
Any user who does not comply with these rules may receive a warning, have their posts removed, and, in the case of repeated violations, be blocked from our platforms. 

Thank you for respecting these guidelines to maintain a welcoming and enriching space for all! 
In the event of any discrepancy between the English and French versions of this netiquette, the French version shall prevail.
