After the members ratified their new collective agreement last June, the parties officially signed it on September 23, 2026. The new collective agreement will remain in effect until May 1, 2030.
Among the key provisions are wage increases ranging from 12% to 13.5% over four (4) years, depending on the applicable pay scale; the addition of an extra personal day for employees with more than 24 months of seniority; an increase in sick leave benefits; and increases to both the assistant housekeeper premium and the seniority premium. Other improvements include enhanced social leave provisions for employees who must travel outside the country, the inclusion of a definition of “Migrant Employee” in the collective agreement, as well as a new clause recognizing previous work experience.

The negotiations were marked by various unforeseen circumstances, but the parties ultimately reached an agreement to renew the collective agreement.
The union bargaining committee was composed of Karine Lachance, Karine Bolduc-Lebel and Alondra Guadalupe Infante Candela, along with UES 800 union representative Michel Tremblay. He would like to thank the members of the union committee for their participation in negotiating this new employment agreement.
