New collective agreement at Groupe Environnemental Labrie SRI—St-Nicolas’s shop

22 August 2024

On May 27, at a general meeting, the members of the SEU 800 working for Groupe Environnemental Labrie SRI at St-Nicolas’s shop overwhelmingly accepted the agreement in principle reached with the negotiating committee.

After several months of negotiations, the parties finally reached an agreement in principle, with each party able to achieve its main negotiating objectives. The new conditions negotiated will have a major impact on employees since the result of the negotiations is in addition to the salary readjustment, which boosted wages by an average of 7.07% in January 2023. On average, salaries have thus been increased by more than 20% since January 1, 2023.

Agreement highlights:

  • Three (3) year collective agreement;
  • Minimum wage increases of 8.50% in the first year for all job titles and readjustments of up to 25% for certain trades;
  • Minimum annual wage increases of 3.00%, up to 3.50%, in line with inflation for the years 2025 and 2026;
  • Improved group insurance coverage, notably for paramedical care and short-term disability;
  • Improved weekend schedule to 33 hours, paid 40 hours;
  • The evening premium increased to $2.25/hour;

We would like to thank all the members for their mobilization and support of the negotiating team. We would also like to thank the entire negotiating team for their excellent work throughout their mandate, which enabled them to achieve this excellent result!
