McGill University – Agreements in principle accepted for three units!

During a general assembly held last April 22nd, the members of the SEU 800 who are working for the departments of Facilities Management, Dining Services, Student Housing Services and the Faculty Club departments ratified by a majority the agreement in principle reached the negotiation table. This meeting followed previous meetings for members of the Printing Services and Data Center departments who also ratified the agreement in principle negotiated jointly by the three units.

The new collective agreement provides for general salary increases of 3% per year from 2022 to 2026 and the introduction of a new salary structure with salary adjustments ranging from 3% to 22% depending on the job title. The new agreement also includes the payment of a lump sum of $0.30 for each hour worked in 2022 and the improvement of the clause regarding sick leave in the case of chronic illness.

The negotiating committees will meet in the coming weeks to sign the new collective agreement.
