CHSLD Granby
27 March 2023
On March 21, 2023, the members of the CHSLD of Granby accepted the agreement in principle at 100% with record attendance at the meeting.
The stakes were high since it was about wage harmonization with the public sector for all orderlies, employees, nursing assistants, nurses and housekeeping staff. Indeed, the Quebec government will pay the CHSLD a significant amount of money so that it can give similar or very similar wages as the healthcare network, thus allowing the attraction and retention of personnel.
The new employment contract is for a period of three years and includes retroactive pay for the period from May 15, 2022, to March 31, 2023. The night and orientation premiums have been increased, as well as the modification of several non-monetary clauses.
The members of the negotiating committee worked very hard and were congratulated by the members. The negotiating committee was composed of Julie Précourt, president of the local union, Sylvie Horrobin, vice president and Kevin Légaré, secretary-treasurer, accompanied by their representative, Sophie Bourgeois.
