Collective agreement signed for CHSLD Sainte-Catherine

During the November 22 general meetings, there was a majority acceptance of the tentative agreement between the negotiations committee and the employer.
The new one-year contract provides for, among other things, salary increases of 3% effective November 1, 2022, and 3% retroactive from April 1 to October 31, 2022. Another 3% salary increase is scheduled for April 1, 2023, if the Quebec government’s salary harmonization is not finalized by March 31, 2023. Employees are also entitled to an attendance bonus ranging from $0.75 to $1.75 per hour starting November 1, 2022. The Quebec government wants to help private CHSLDs and public-private CHSLDs, such as CHSLD Ste-Catherine, to offer working conditions similar or very similar to those of employees in the public network. Improvements in the various premiums and vacations were obtained for the members as well.
