On December 22nd, the workers of Gaétan Riendeau Inc. voted on the employer’s proposal and it was accepted by a majority of the members of the unit. The new contract includes a 10 to 15% wage increase for all workers, effective immediately. This is great news for these workers as the holiday season approaches.
In addition to the annual salary increases, a bonus is also included. The 6-year collective agreement includes a re-opener clause for the money in 4 years.
