Dear members,

As you know, the master collective agreement for building services between the Union of Service Employees, Local 800 (UES 800) and the Corporation of Cleaning Contractors of Québec (CEEMQ) will expire on November 1, 2025. This agreement applies to members working in building services in regions covered by the Québec Decree. These regions are: Québec, Chaudière-Appalaches, Estrie, Mauricie, Centre-du-Québec, Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, Côte-Nord, Bas-Saint-Laurent, Gaspésie–Îles-de-la-Madeleine, Abitibi-Témiscamingue, and Nord-du-Québec.

The members of the committee are:

  • Mr. Jean-Philippe Duclos (GDI Services (Québec) S.E.C.)
  • Ms. Ros Mery Esquivel (Service Sanitaire Frontenac / Maintenance Euréka)
  • Mr. Stéphan Forcier (Derko / ServiPro)
  • Ms. Claudine Lapointe (ML Entretien Multiservices)
  • Mr. Alexis Roy, union representative, UES 800
  • Mr. Michel Tremblay, union representative, UES 800 and union spokesperson

Following six (6) negotiation preparation meetings, the committee called members to a special general assembly to present the results of the preparation work and to adopt the union bargaining demands package.

On June 7 in Québec City, members were able to review the various demands that will be included in the bargaining package. Union representatives Alexis Roy and Michel Tremblay presented the demands and provided the necessary explanations.

Members then unanimously adopted the union bargaining demands package. Negotiation meetings are scheduled for June 18 and 20, 2025. Negotiations will resume after the summer holidays.

We know that the issues in this round of bargaining are important. The union demands reflect that reality. That is why member solidarity is essential. The more united we are, the more we can work to improve your working conditions so that they reflect the value of the work you do and will continue to do in 2025 and in the years ahead.

Stronger together! These three words are at the heart of our action to achieve a collective agreement that reflects the effort you put into your work.

We will keep you informed of further developments in a future update. Stay tuned!
