LONG TERM DISABILITY INSURANCE

Because we can’t always predict the unexpected. An accident or illness can turn your daily life upside down overnight. Long-term disability insurance is there to help protect your income when you are unable to work for an extended period.

Complete the form
How much does the coverage cost?

$0.42 per hour worked.
Benefits will be adjusted following the enactment of a new decree.

How much could I receive?

The amount of your benefit depends on the number of hours you work each week.
It is approximately 66.6% of your gross income and, as with short-term disability benefits,
the benefits you receive are non-taxable.

Unlike short-term disability benefits, long-term disability benefits are paid monthly.

The amount you receive may, however, be reduced if you also receive benefits from a public program,
such as a disability pension from the Québec Pension Plan (QPP).

Refer to the benefits table to find out how much you could receive based on the number of hours you work,
as well as the cost of this coverage.
