FTQ Pride parade
UES800 is pleased to share this activity offered by an affiliated organization, providing members with additional opportunities to participate in union life. Please note that no expense reimbursement or union leave will be provided for participation in this activity.
As part of Pride Week, the FTQ warmly invites its affiliated unions and their members to march under the FTQ banner during the Pride Parade. This year, under the theme “Shine Together,” let’s proudly showcase the solidarity, inclusion, and diversity that define our labour movement.
Gathering time: 12:30 p.m.
Parade begins: 1:00 p.m.
Marching under the FTQ banner, the many colours of our affiliated unions will shine proudly through their flags. We encourage you to bring your union flag to demonstrate, together, the strength and diversity of our movement.
Taking part in Pride Week is a way to reaffirm our commitment to respect, inclusion, equality, and the dignity of every person. It is also an opportunity to highlight the essential role the labour movement plays in fighting discrimination and defending workplaces where everyone can be their authentic selves.
Solidarity also means celebrating diversity!
