Training
Building knowledge to better understand, participate and take action
Union training helps members better understand their rights, build their knowledge and strengthen their involvement in the workplace. The 800’s Training Committee helps develop programming that is accessible, relevant and grounded in the realities workers experience every day.
Training program
In collaboration with trainers and facilitators, the committee helps shape training priorities, course content and member needs in order to offer activities that are useful, practical and engaging.
Training of union representatives
The committee also contributes to the development and support of people involved in union education. By supporting trainers, facilitators and union representatives, it helps encourage knowledge sharing and strengthen expertise within the 800.
