Our very best wishes
21 December 2025
Please note that our offices will be closed from December 20 to January 4, inclusive.
During this period, union representatives will be available for emergency situations only.
Dear members,
Before turning the page to a new year, we wanted to take a moment to recognize your commitment, your courage, and your solidarity. These are the qualities that shaped every stage of our union’s year.
The year 2025 was intense. It was marked by tough negotiations and essential mobilizations. We marched side by side at major gatherings, such as the Grand Rassemblement Intersyndical, where your presence reminded the government that workers in Quebec deserve to be heard. We also took part in the World March of Women, joining thousands of people determined to advance equality and social justice. At every mobilization, your voice helped build a collective force greater than any one of us. And every time, you made a real difference.
We also experienced defining moments on other fronts: the lockout at Beaulieu Canada and the extraordinary solidarity that emerged from it. The negotiation of two collective agreement decrees: Montreal’s, which is finally approaching its last step and Quebec City’s, which is now beginning its own process. Added to this were meaningful advances in several negotiations and a constant effort to push back against repeated attacks on union organizations. These issues are complex, but you never backed down. You showed that solidarity is not just a word, it is a living force, rooted in reality, in your workplaces, and in your everyday lives.
Because the 800 is not an abstract structure. It is you. It is your stories, your concerns, your victories, and your hopes for a fairer future. Together, we continue to build a union that reflects who you are: committed, compassionate, determined when necessary, and always caring.
We hope the holiday season brings you a moment of peace and comfort, a time to rest, reconnect with loved ones, laugh, breathe, and regain your energy. You all deserve it.
On behalf of the 800 team, thank you for your trust, your resilience, and your presence. The year 2026 will bring new challenges and new opportunities. But one thing remains certain: as long as we stand united, we will always be stronger together.
We wish you a wonderful holiday season and a new year filled with health, peace, and solidarity.
With our deepest appreciation,
The 800 team
