Beaulieu Canada: Employees expected to return to the factory on Thursday

11 November 2025

THE SIGNING OF THE RETURN-TO-WORK PROTOCOL BY BOTH PARTIES THIS MORNING OFFICIALLY ENDS THE LOCKOUT IMPOSED BY THE EMPLOYER ON OCTOBER 10, PAVING THE WAY FOR A GRADUAL RETURN TO NORMAL OPERATIONS FOR THE 160 PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN OUT OF WORK FOR NEARLY TWO MONTHS.

Last Monday, Beaulieu Canada workers gathered for a general assembly to vote on the chief mediator’s recommendation aimed at resolving the labor dispute that has opposed them to their employer since October 15, 2024. After more than 35 meetings and months of tension, 83% of workers voted in favor of the proposal.

An amicable settlement was also reached within the return-to-work protocol regarding issues related to alleged violations of Section 109 of the Labor Code. As a result, the hearing previously scheduled before the Administrative Labor Tribunal for February will no longer proceed, since the matter has been resolved between the parties.

We extend our warmest thanks to the 123 members who took the time to participate in this decisive meeting. Their presence, commitment, and unity once again demonstrate the strength of union solidarity.

“Through their courage, patience, and unity, Beaulieu Canada workers not only preserved their gains, but also reaffirmed a fundamental truth: dignity and respect are never negotiable,” said their union representative, Alexis Roy.

We also wish to salute everyone who stood on the picket line day after day, despite the cold, fatigue, and uncertainty. Their perseverance is a remarkable example of collective resilience.

Thank you as well to the individuals, organizations, and community members who supported them through their presence, words of encouragement, or gestures of solidarity. Every act of support made a difference.

Today, members can hold their heads high. After eight weeks of hardship, they emerge from this conflict standing tall, united, and proud.

We tip our hats to them.
