At the heart of solidarity: local representatives of the Fonds de solidarité FTQ gather in Montreal
6 October 2025
Last weekend, local representatives (LR) of the Fonds de solidarité FTQ came together at the Sheraton Centre Montreal for their annual national meeting. Two full days were dedicated to training, discussions, and the pride of belonging to a network of more than 1,800 activists who bring the Fund to life in workplaces across Quebec.
The faces of the Fund in every workplace
At this gathering, we took the time to highlight the outstanding commitment of our local representatives. The Fonds de solidarité FTQ is the unique tool it is today thanks above all to them. In each workplace, LRs play a vital role: they build trust, answer questions, support their colleagues in their savings projects, and remind them that preparing for retirement is not just a personal matter, but also a collective effort to preserve good jobs in Quebec.

In her message to local representatives, Marie Deschênes, Acting President of UES 800, emphasized their contribution:
“Your role goes far beyond promoting a product. Day after day, you build bridges between individual savings and Quebec’s collective development. Your patience, rigor, and human approach make you exceptional ambassadors.”
A network that learns and grows together
The annual meeting was also an opportunity for everyone to update their knowledge, learn about the latest developments related to the Fund, and share best practices. It is an eagerly awaited event each year, where RLs leave better equipped and inspired by the experience of their peers.
Special thanks
We would like to recognize the remarkable work of Annick Sévigny and warmly thank all those who took part.
In closing, just a simple but essential word: thank you. Thank you to the local representatives for your time, your energy, and your unwavering commitment. Thanks to you, thousands of workers can look to the future with greater peace of mind, and Quebec can continue to stand tall through collective investment.
