The SEU 800 Union: In the midst of negotiations for workers in Montreal’s menswear industry.
2 December 2024
The SEU 800 union is currently engaged in important negotiations to defend the rights and interests of workers in Montreal’s menswear industry. We represent over 1,500 employees in four well-established companies: Jack Victor, Samuelson Ltée, Empire Clothing, and Entoilage Interforme.
At the bargaining table, our priority is to obtain significant wage increases while maintaining the good working conditions our members enjoy. These discussions are crucial to ensuring that workers are fairly rewarded for their expertise and contribution to a key industry in our local economy.
We’d also like to take this opportunity to remind everyone of the importance of supporting local purchasing. By choosing clothing made here in Quebec and Canada, you are investing in quality products and encouraging the creation and maintenance of jobs in our communities.
Together, we can help build a strong, sustainable apparel industry that is proud of its local roots and recognized expertise.
Thank you for supporting local workers by making informed choices.
