BARGAINING HAS BEGUN!

Dear members,

Negotiations to renew the master building maintenance services agreement between the Service Employees Union, Local 800 and The Quebec Building Service Contractors Association have indeed begun!

The agreement brings together the major cleaning employers in the Montreal decree, including GDI Services, GSF Canada Inc, Roy Entretien, For-Net, Signature Service d’entretien, Controlnet and Axia.

The parties have met 3 times, on May 29, June 17 and July 3, 2024.

Each party has submitted its normative demands. It was agreed to separate all the articles into 6 blocks to facilitate the negotiation. The union side began with block 1, comprising articles 2, 4, 6, 7 and 8. The objective, context and degree of importance of each of our demands were explained to the management committee.  Exchanges were cordial, and we have already noted several advancements.

Meetings will resume intensively as soon as we return from the summer vacation. We will keep you informed of future developments at the bargaining table. We will defend your interests to the end because you deserve it.
