Scholarships 2024-2025

The Service Employees Union, Local 800, recognizes the importance of academic training. For several years, the SEU 800 has proudly awarded six $1,000 scholarships.

These scholarships are awarded following a rigorous selection, highlighting the candidates’ academic merit.  A university professor, independent of SEU 800, evaluates applications.

Here are the recipients of the six 2024-2025 scholarships. 

• Vanessa Rego, daughter of Jose Rego working at McGill University in the Education Support division;
• Brandyn Barbosa, son of Cynthia Soares working at GDI Services in the Building Service division;
• Alicia Asselin, daughter of Mario Asselin working at IPL North America in the Industries division;
• Lili-Rose Alix, daughter of Brigitte St-Jacques, working at FONDS immobilier de solidarité FTQ, in the Services, Commerces, Financial Institutions and Transport division;
• Félix Goulet, son of Simon Goulet working at Groupe environnemental Labrie, in the Industries division;
• David Choukroun, son of Renée Choukroun, working at École Maimonide in the Services, Commerces, Financial Institutions and Transport division;
