Meeting day with Members of the National Assembly

Once again this year, the QFL organized a meeting day with members of the National Assembly on March 13. Over a hundred workers, all QFL members, took part in the day, and the SEU 800 was proudly represented by Pascale Saint-Antoine, Léonie Bilodeau and Francis Miville.

The day aims to raise awareness among members of the National Assembly of all political stripes of the various campaigns run by the QFL and its affiliates. 

This year, participants discussed, among other things, the revaluation of public services and the importance of better protection for foreign workers.  Delegates also addressed the impact of the rising cost of living. Some examples raised were the difficulty of accessing affordable housing and the fact that workers must be able to count on decent financial security in retirement.

Participants also noted the receptiveness of Québec Solidaire members.
