New contract for the Coopérative funéraire de l’Outaouais

On November 6, members of the SEU 800 at the Coopérative funéraire de l’Outaouais ratified a new three-year collective agreement by a large majority.

The agreement includes a number of gains for members, including an additional statutory holiday and a 4-day work week for full-time employees.

These workers will see their wages increase by 7.5% in the first year, by CPI+1% up to a maximum of 3.5% for the second and third years of the collective agreement. In addition to the attractive salary increase, the employer will increase its contribution to the pension fund by 2%.

The new collective agreement is about to be signed, and the texts will be sent to members in the coming weeks.
