Signing of a new collective agreement in the Quebec City-GDI Services (Quebec) S.E.C hotel sector.

On May 2, the Union and the Employer signed a new collective agreement for the hotel sector in the Quebec City area. In addition to the annual salary increases, the bonus was increased significantly, from $1.00 to $2.00 or $3.00 per hour depending on the bonus applicable to the position.

The parties have also agreed to add a new seniority bonus applicable to all employees with ten (10) years of seniority and more. This hourly bonus will be added to the salary rate and will be $0.75 in 2023, $1.50 in 2024 and $2.00 in 2025.

Let us also mention the addition of a fifth (5th) week of vacation for employees with 15 years of seniority and more as well as a 2nd round for the summer vacation. We also note the addition of two floating vacations as well as new provisions concerning phased retirement.

The new collective agreement will be for a period of three (3) years and will expire in May 2026.
