SCP 89 Inc – Agreement signed!

The members of the SCP 89 Inc. negotiating committee, representing approximately 25 members, are proud to announce the signing of the new 3-year collective agreement. It was during the general meeting held a few weeks ago that the members ratified the new contract.

The company in Laterrière is a manufacturer of forestry chains and tracks. It also offers repair and modification of heavy machinery. The SEU 800 has represented the workers of the company for more than 22 years, in various jobs, such as welder, operator and specialized operator, machinist and the shipper.

The new work contract includes

• A 4th week of vacation for members with 8 years of seniority;
• The payment of $200 by the employer, every 2 years, for the purchase of adjusted safety glasses;
• Bank of personal leave hours accessible on January 1st of each year;
• Hourly wage increase of $2.00, effective January 1, 2023;
• Hourly wage increase of $0.70 in 2024 and $0.70 in 2025;
• Introduction of a loyalty bonus, starting from the 10th year of seniority;
• Payment of a $250 signing bonus from a Fonds de solidarité RRSP.

In the coming weeks, the collective agreement will be sent to the members.
