Ratification of the collective agreement for the members of Rodrigue Métal ltée

It is with pride that the negotiating committee of the workers of Rodrique Métal Ltée has concluded a new 3-year work contract.

During the general assembly of February 21st, the members accepted by a large majority the employer’s offers resulting from the meetings with the employer.

Here are the main gains of the work contract:

• Improvement of the criteria and the number of workers who can benefit from progressive retirement at the same time;
• Addition of a day in the sick bank;
• Employer’s contribution to the group insurance at 50%, with no cap;
• Increase the safety boots allowance to $225 in the first year of the agreement and increase of $5 per year after that;
• Improvement in salary ranks for certain classifications;
• Increase in the team leader bonus;
• Addition of 2 salary ranks per classification;
• General pay scale increase over 3 years of 5%, 2%, and 1.5% retroactive to November 1st, 2022;
• 250$ signing bonus for all.

In the next few weeks, the texts of the new agreement will be signed and sent to the members. The new agreement will be in effect until October 31st, 2025, and will last 3 years.
