Black History Month

4 February 2022

February is “Black History Month” in Canada

Every February for 31 years, people across Canada have taken part in Black History Month activities and festivities that honor the heritage of Black Canadians and their communities.

In 2022, the theme of Black History Month is the following: “Honor the past, inspire the future”. It emphasizes the recognition of Black leaders in history who paved the way for many societal advancements we enjoy today.

At SEU 800, we encourage and are proud of the involvement of our members and  Black union activists. We are grateful of their contribution in the community, workplaces and fight against discrimination.
