INFORMATION FOR COLLECTIVE INSURANCE –PAYMENT DUES

Reminder
Insurance dues must be paid for all pay periods of the year.

Insurance dues are usually deducted on your salary. However, in certain cases, the insurance dues cannot be deducted, here are some examples:
– During a preventive withdrawal
– During a maternity leave
– During a parental leave
– During any leave of absence
– During a lay off
– During an absence for sickness
– During an absence for CNÉSST

In the eventuality that the insurance dues to your collective insurance haven’t been paid, you must pay them directly to the Union.

Salary Insurance:
You must contact with the Union’s insurance department whenever on sick leave or a work-related accident (CNÉSST) so that you are properly informed of the procedure to follow in the event that you are eligible for salary insurance.

Prepayment cards:
The pharmacy and dentist prepayment card is available to eligible employees who are employed for a continuous period of at least six (6) months. To obtain this card, you must apply by contacting the Union Insurance Department at one of the above numbers.
