McGill and SEU (facilities) start discussing pay frequency

On March 26, the parties discussed the implementation steps of a contemplated change in pay frequency, from weekly to bi-weekly. The union voiced its concerns and indicated it is not in favor of such a change under the present conditions.

The parties are preparing themselves to use the next meeting to work on language that would require text modifications in other articles. The parties will also share their list of remaining topics that could become the subject of interest-based bargaining discussions.  The next meeting is set for April 16.

The 3 bargaining units in question are: computing centre, printing services and facilities management/residences/Faculty Club, represented by SEU (Service Employees Union, local section 800, affiliated with the Quebec Labour Federation).
