Three proposals discussed at meeting with McGill University

13 May 2013

At the May 7 bargaining session, the university presented three different proposals for the union to review.  The first document pertains to changes in working hours and the union?s concerns relating to shift changes.  The second proposal covers the duration and working hours in Food and Dining Services which led to discussions, clarifications and a review of the change in scope.  The third proposal relates to employment security with changes proposed in the relocation procedure.  Because some members of the bargaining teams were absent, it was agreed the union would review these three proposals, to be discussed at the next meeting, scheduled for May 23.

The 3 bargaining units in question are: computing centre, printing services and facilities management/residences/Faculty Club, represented by SEU, local 800 (Service Employees Union, local section 800, affiliated with the Quebec Labour Federation.
