SEU and the University sign off on two more articles

22 October 2013

The parties met on September 18. They reviewed and discussed the university’s proposed text relating to the scheduling of days of rest and the days on which holidays are taken for employees working on special shifts. A final version of the text was prepared and the parties signed off on the relevant articles.

The parties presented their objectives and concerns about the possibility of treating food and dining and residences as two different departments. The parties examined some of the implications resulting from such a change and discussed various implementation scenarios.  It was agreed that the university and the union would further discuss this possibility and share their thoughts on this matter at the next meeting, scheduled for October 2nd.
